Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. She was raised by her mother, who was an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick always enjoyed singing, dancing and performing show puppets. McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. McCormick got her first big job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the main character in the play Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1200 auditioning children to play the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. This show lasted for five seasons. McCormick revealed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year duration of the show.
